New Hampshire Council of Deliberation
The Council of Deliberation is the governing body for Scottish Rite in the State of New Hampshire. It is composed of the Scottish Rite leaders throughout the state. The Annual meeting of the Council of Deliberation is held the first Saturday in June. Normally, Valleys alternate in hosting the Annual meeting.
The Council holds a workshop in February for leadership development and to discuss current issues.
Membership
Membership of the Council of Deliberation is made of the following Brothers:
** Active, Active Emeriti, and Honorary Members of the Supreme Council accredited to the State
** Past First and Second Lieutenant Commanders of the Council of Deliberation
** First three elected officers, and past presiding officers of the following Subordinate Bodies – New Hampshire Consistory; the four Chapters of Rose Croix in NH; the five Councils of Princes of Jerusalem; and the five Lodges of Perfection
** Those who have received the Meritorious Service Award from the Council of Deliberation
** The Treasurer and Secretary of the Subordinate Bodies.
The Deputy for the State of New Hampshire presides, as ex-officio Illustrious Commander-in-Chief.

Active Members of Supreme Council
New Hampshire has three Active Members who represent the state in decisions of the Supreme Council, one of whom is the Deputy, the state’s representative of the Sovereign Grand Commander. The Deputy serves as the presiding officer of the Council of Deliberation.
