New Hampshire Consistory

New Hampshire Consistory confers its degrees for the entire State of New Hampshire.  While part of the Valley of Nashua, it is made up of all 32º Scottish Rite Masons from the five Valleys in New Hampshire: Portsmouth-Dover, Nashua, Concord, Keene and Lancaster-Littleton. The Consistory meets once a year to confer degrees on candidates who have received all of their required Valley degrees.

What is Consistory?

Consistory confers fourteen of the Scottish Rite degrees - the 19th to the 32nd. A Master Mason must petition to join a local Valley for the 4th to 18th degrees prior to joining Consistory.  A Reunion is held once a year to confer the degrees required to become a 32nd degree Mason. Many brothers return in future years to see or take part in the degrees that were not offered the day they became a 32nd degree Mason -which is why it is called a Reunion. The office for New Hampshire Consistory is located in the Masonic building in Nashua. The presiding officer of the Consistory is titled Commander-in-Chief.
